Garden Love

Speaking of snails.. It came to me this spring, from that
other place where thoughts don’t always make sense in
this logical material world of ours, that snails are the fairies chariots…
I look on them with the deepest love and am awed by their
cuteness.  Since I have been doing this it seems they have not been such
a bother to my plants.. I normally just put them in a different part of the
garden when I find them on plants I don’t want eaten but I used to
gather them up and take them to the park and leave them off by the
creek or the river where there is water and food source.. I just
haven’t the time here lately…

I’ve been trying to start seeds and plant according the the moon
and biodynamic planting calendar but its only taken a few
weeks to realize that my life doesn’t coincide with the moon
or the planets and if I am ever to have a garden at all I just
need to plant when I can.. and hopefully the garden and I
will catch up and harmonize with the rest of the universe
at some point in this life time.
It still stands that 80 percent of everything in my garden
was put there by Mother Nature’s loving touch and not
my own doing… she is always busy with the inner
work of renewing the Earth,  while I have gone about
the tasks of dealing with the necessary distractions
of the outward life..  I am so grateful to be awed
by the beauty Nature has put before me in the garden
without having done the hard work of bringing it
about.. How blessed am I.
I have no idea why some of my text comes out double spaced and other text is single spaced.   Easily explained ..  I am an idiot with a blog.  I hope to have better quality photos to share of the beauty of nature in the future.   Love and Blessings to all and blessings upon your garden.

Winter Dance

Winter is finally here.  The trees are dancing with joy on this exuberant windy winter day. The leaves are dancing across the road like ecstatic ballerinas in wild abandon.  Mother nature has put her hand to broom sweeping her fall leaves to the earth floor to warm her Terra Firma soul and feed the hungry roots below.  Little squirrels are scurrying and racing around like turbo charged fur balls.  What a beautiful chilly day.

My apologies to those who have started following this blog.  I am still learning how to use WordPress and its taken me some time to figure out how to post and upload pictures and so on.   Thank you so much to  all those kindred spirits who have elected to follow this blog and who have made comments.    Blessings to you all.

Observation in Miracles

Yesterday I made a most touching discovery.  Just by the water faucet there was this little tree  seedling growing up from the ground.. it was about 6″ high with the prettiest leaves.  I was worried that it might get stepped on there by the faucet so I transplanted it into a pot.
As I dug into the dirt I hit concrete and ended up digging up an old cement stepping stone that I had placed there by the faucet… this little tree was literally growing in about an inch of soil/leaf compost right on top of that cement stepping stone.. it was so touching… the seed from which it burst forth was above the soil and the root was taking refuge in that tiny inch of soil…  what a miracle nature  is..It is now in a planter safe and sound and will be able to grow on and become whatever it is destined to be.
It was so amazing to me that the leaves were so big and healthy and the stem was so strong.. the seed itself from whence it came was just laying on top of the soil..  and the root did not have sufficient room to grow into a strong healthy root…but instead of shriveling up,  that little being put forth its finest effort into growing the most beautiful amazing leaves and stem… It was those beautiful leaves that I noticed there by the faucet.. and it was those amazing  leaves that  called out to me.
This whole experience gave me a lot to contemplate regarding the nature of communication.  The whole of communication involves so much more than voice or motion.  There are vast unknown aspects of communication that we have yet to discover within our inward frontiers.  Plants talk to us with motion and color and scent.  They have a lot to say if we but listen.

Unseen Worlds

The Fairy Glen

Unseen Worlds

On trade winds of time they travel by light
Their voices float on sound-lit beams
They fly just past our muted sight
On prism blessed transparent wings

A voice as soft as a fledgling dove
Breath as sweet as an angels love.

If sought with mortal eyes

They are masters of disguise
And  forever will they elude
For only with the  heart and soul
May the fairy world be viewed.

Once you’ve seen the fairy realm
You’ll never disbelieve
The stories told in ancient times
Of kingdoms once perceived.

Be faithful to the mighty oak
For there in lies the portal
Most grand and wise of ancient trees
A hope for every mortal

So sad for those who can not see
A life of toil and fears
The magic warmth of  fairy lights
Shall never dry their tears

On the day when realms collide
We’ll see a new sunrise
And realities unseen to us

Will appear before our  eyes

Autumn Equinox 2015 September 23

Blessings to all on this day of the Autumn Equinox.  Nature, always in perfect balance,  will continue to delight us with a show of warm  colors to soften the chilly nights and shortened days as she continues her dance toward the Winter Solstice.  She is turning  inward for a bit of reflective time.  But don’t be fooled,  she is ever alive and her work has only gone underground.

The sublime cycle of Life

In the sublime beauty and perfection that we observe in nature,  are found traces of the true sense of Life.   Perfection, brilliant symmetry, colorful and vibrant!  How muted our sense and how dim our view has become.  At this time of year,  as the leaves begin falling, let us remember the divinity within ourselves and all of nature.  In the beauty of holiness shall each leaf charm its color wheel.

Autumn sign posts

Honey the cat is bringing fallen leaves into the house.  Oak and Mulberry.  Autumn is in the air.  Seems too early to find golden yellow leaves on the ground.  But the sap is retreating back into the tree trunk and maybe even down to the roots, who knows?  I picture subterranean nature spirits waiting for its arrival each autumn.  They have a huge tree sap festival and make elfin beer with it.

Sorry  I’m new to WordPress still learning how to use the tools at hand.

Nature pics will be forthcoming.
